1. Friendships on fast-forward
2. Pineapple icy poles
3. 400 photos of the same epic Cristo Rei sunset
4. Diving Green Buoy
5. Practising terrible Tetun over the counter at Letefoho
6. A DSLR hanging off my shoulder
7. Papaya juice cut with lime
8. Hanging out at the front gate to chat about boys with loja lady
9. Finding trusting friends to anoint as my biins – older sisters
10. Good $2 bread from the Turkish place

My ten least favourite things about living in Dili, at the end of my second month here:

1. Not being there when the Raynors got bad news
2. Midnight blackouts and trying to sweat through sleep with a wet towel in bed
3. Being encouraged to eat meat too many times
4. Dry-season lethargy and a single email received per working day
5. Running out of DEET
6. Running out of money
7. Not running
8. Worrying about work and productivity and looking too far ahead
9. Too-sweet tempeh at an otherwise-perfect warung
10. Forgetting to enjoy it
